Explore the video provided and reflect on the themes of a PLN in a professional capacity.

In the video, I learned that Brad Baker believes that PLN can help build a harmonious community and encourage people to care about each other. Brad Baker has established a professional social network by participating in some activities. And the positive views that come out through these activities are worth learning. On the other hand, PLN allows people to challenge each other, because there is no geographical restriction, we can hear everyone’s voice through the Internet, some of whom hold opinions different from ours. But in this way, everyone can express their opinions and voices, so that everyone can build a better communication space. We can listen to different voices while sharing opinions. This can also expand PLN and make PLN more diverse and inclusive.

Which social media platforms are beneficial in education?

I think there are two types of social platforms that are good for education. The first is social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.). “theorizes that technology is reshaping the ways humans create, store and distribute knowledge.” (Veletsianos & Couros, 2010;2014;)In combination with the world we live in now, social media platforms are us The best way to create, store and disseminate knowledge. We can learn about the PLN established by people in the same industry or in the same field through social media platforms. Of course, I think active participation will make learning more efficient. Active sharing and listening to opinions and active participation in discussions are all beneficial. Way of learning. But we must also pay attention to determining the authenticity and reliability of the source of information. Because social media can share and disseminate information at will, we sometimes receive false information. The second is professional learning social platforms (MOOC, Quora, Coursera iTunes U, etc.). These are platforms that provide online education. I think they are more professional than social media platforms in terms of professionalism. You can find countless resources on the platform, including courses from famous schools and related learning materials. You can directly establish contact with professionals to solve the problems encountered in the study more effectively and save time. The benefits of using social media platforms to develop education are effective and convenient.

Consider the equality that exists when all have the same platform to engage community dialogues.

I think learning in an equal environment is conducive to our learning. Because when we encounter problems that we don’t understand, others will seriously consider the problems we put forward, and we will also seriously consider the problems others put forward. And each of us has the right to express ourselves freely, and we can learn more only when people have different opinions and are discussed.

I agree with your idea! I use Instagram as my main social media that helps me to develop my thoughts on cooking. Having a group of people that have the same interest as you, is really amazing.
